BCA wanted to see their organization evolve from a property assessment provider to BC’s first prominent property information service, with a redesigned site and intranet to drive the transformation.

How we made life better

Initially engaged to conduct a gap analysis, we identified user insights that led us to completely transform BCA – beginning with a new brand identity and look and feel, leading into a responsive website redesign and designing a new intranet using SharePoint. Highlights of the solution included:

  • Enhanced customer experience: We facilitated collaborative discovery sessions with BCA stakeholders and conducted quantitative and qualitative research with their diverse public audiences. This research allowed us to help BCA better understand customer perceptions of the existing brand and areas of improvement.
  • New visual identity and rebranded communications: Creating a new brand identity that better conveyed BCA’s core values, we applied the look and feel to all of its service channels including its property assessment notice and website. We even redesigned the print assessment notice to better show relevant information to customers. This work helped transformed BCA’s customer touchpoints and provide an enhanced customer experience.
  • Streamlined user experience: Leveraging iconography to provide users with an easy-to-navigate interface and translating complex data into a streamlined public website design, we allowed users to quickly access valuable tools and profile information and elevated the overall user experience.
  • Custom self-service tool for users: We redesigned BCA’s property assessment tool to allow owners to view their own property data and surrounding area in just a few simple clicks.
